Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct

The students of NIE Institute of Technology shall strictly adhere to the below mentioned code of conduct.

  1. Ragging is Strictly Prohibited. Any student found involved in this act will be punished as per the law.
  2. Wearing of ID cards in the campus is Compulsory.
  3. Mobile phones should be in off mode in lecture halls and in labs. Violation of this will lead to confiscation of the mobile phone.
  4. The Institute shall not be responsible for mobile phones; cash or any other items lost or left behind in the College premises.
  5. The desks and other furniture should not be defaced by writing names and obscene remarks on them or even by drawing on them with pens, knives and other sharp instruments
  6. Students should come to the college in decent and presentable attire.
  7. Vehicles should be neatly parked in the parking area.
  8. Use of abusive/filthy language and gestures is strictly prohibited.
  9. Students representing NIEIT for placement process or for participating in the co-curricular/extracurricular activities or for any other reasons should maintain discipline.
  10. During industrial tour student should strictly follow the guidelines issued by the college authority.
  11. Arranging get together/ Celebration of birthday in the college premises which may spoil the academic ambience of the dept./college is strictly prohibited.
  12. Smoking, chewing of tobacco, consumption of alcohol and use of drugs are strictly prohibited.
  13. Misuse of electronic/internet media (SMS, MMS, email, social network sites etc.) is strictly prohibited.
  14. Mass bunking of classes is strictly prohibited. Disciplinary action may be initiated if found.
  15. Students shall not indulge in any kind of malpractice during Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE) examinations (IA) and Semester End Examinations (SEE). If any student found violating this during CIE exams, he/she will be awarded zero marks in CIE and suitable counselling and disciplinary action shall be initiated. For SEE exams, VTU norms shall be strictly followed.
  16. Wearing helmet to the college is compulsory
  17. Violating traffic rules within the college premises will be viewed seriously.

* Violation any of the college rules and regulation will lead to initiating necessary disciplinary action will be taken.

College Dress

College Dress Code: All students must neatly dressed with neat hair dress

Complusory Laboratory aprons for all laboratories.

Boys: Formal or Jeans Pant with Shirt/T-Shirt/Kurtha

Girls: Chudidhar/ Jeans Pant with long tops or Long Kurtha

Students are restrained from being dressed in

  • Shorts
  • Tight Outfits - leggings.
  • Sleeveless garments.
  • Tee Shirts with obscenity.
  • Miniskirts.
  • Low waist, Torn, cut and Faded jeans.

NOTE: Necessary lab specific dress code – Aprons and shoes etc. need to be follows along with safety norms

Important Note: If any student is found violating the dress code, then the staff members are authorized to take disciplinary action
